Teresa Benfield

Teresa Elaine Dellinger Benfield, 60, of Heatherbrook Trail, Vale, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Mission Hospital, Asheville. She was born March 6, 1962 in Lincoln County to Myrtle Jean Goins Dellinger and the late Everette Lee Dellinger.

Teresa enjoyed hiking in the mountains and visiting State Parks. She also enjoyed working with crafts.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband John David “Big David” Benfield.

Survivors include her mother, Myrtle Jean Goins Dellinger; son, David “Little David” Benfield; mother-in-law, Thelma Drum Benfield; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 11, 2022 at Forest Lawn Cemetery of Lincolnton.
