Isobel Pfeifer

Isobel Goins Pfeifer, age 92, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 in the comfort of her family.  She was born March 27, 1928 in Gaston County, the youngest child of the late William Augustus and Ada Louise Goins.  She graduated from Cherryville High School in 1945.  She was a homemaker, an excellent wife and mother. A Christian by faith, she was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Cherryville. Her unwavering faith and steadfast good nature stand as a testimony of Christ’s sovereign love to all who knew her. Words fail to convey how much we will miss her until we meet again in the presence of the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Beam Pfeifer; beloved sons, David Scott Pfeifer and Gary Wayne Pfeifer; and siblings, Annie Bridges, Mae Walker, Eavey Carpenter, Bertie Ivester, Pauline White, Margaret Elam Dover, Sue Williams, and Lemuel Goins.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-love, Eric and Deborah Pfeifer; grandchildren, Ashley E. Bobb, Martin K. Bobb, and E. Morgan Pfeifer; great grandchildren, Preston Ellington, Ashton Belk, Grayson Belk, and Kelson Bobb; numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many dear friends who were also her family.

Memorials can be made to your local Hospice care provider and/or ministry of your choice.

Due to the current COVID crisis and restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Vince Hefner officiating.
