Helen Mullis

Helen Huss Mullis, age 88 of Bessemer City, formerly of Charlotte, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Atrium Health Lincoln.  She was born January 21, 1933 in Lincoln County to the late Henry Monroe and Bessie Leonard Huss.  Helen was a former member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Charlotte and of Bethphage Lutheran Church in Lincolnton.  She enjoyed knitting and gardening.  Helen was a coupon queen.  She had the heart of a giver and will be remembered for the many goody bags and brownies she shared with everyone.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Mullis; and brother, Robert Huss.

Survivors include her son, Danny Mullis; sister, Dorothy Huss Leonhardt; special caregivers, Lisa Gregory, Darian Walters, and Tina Blackwell; two step grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; former daughter-in-law, Linda Mullis; and her sweet dog, Blondie.

Private services will be held at a later date.
