Fay Pitman

Kitty Fay Jarrell Pitman, age 73 of Flint Street, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at Catawba Valley Hospice House, Newton.  She was born May 3, 1947 in Cleveland County to the late Roy Lee and Matilda Boyles Jarrell. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and a homemaker. She was also an avid reader.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nichole Pitman; husband, Lynn Pitman, Jr.; and brothers, Kenneth Jarrell, and Mike “Penny” Jarrell.

She is survived her daughter, Sheri Pitman Drewery; twin sister, Kay Poovey (Gene); sisters, Nancy Jarrell, and Diane Jarrell Haynes; grandchildren, Trey Drewery, and Riley Edwards; great-grandchildren, Brayden Drewery, and Adalynn Drewery; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service, officiated by Rev. Leonard Bumgardner, will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 14, 2020 at City Memorial Cemetery.  Due to COVID-19, social distancing and face coverings will be required.
