Brenda Harbinson

Brenda Joyce Pruitte Harbinson, age 76 of Self St. passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.  She was born May 18, 1944 in Gaston County to the late Joseph Lawrence and Edith Inez Anthony Pruitte.  She was retried from the North Carolina Prison System and enjoyed helping out and hanging out at Homefolks Café.  Brenda loved spending time with her family and friends and cherished her annual beach trips with her sisters.

Survivors include her son, Donnie Harbinson (Debbie); daughters, Barbara Lovett (Timothy Wade) and Annmarie Colbert (Randy); sisters, Pat Ginn (Dan), Jane Hancock, and Carolyn Hanlin (Kenneth); grandchildren, Chase Harbinson, Brandon Harbinson, Daniel Carpenter, Morgan Lovett, and Joshua Colbert; and great grandchildren, Austin Harbinson, Anita Colbert, and Harper Colbert.

Ms. Harbinson will lie-in-state Friday, November 6, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Brogdon officiating.  Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face coverings and social distancing will be observed.
