Ben Hendricks

Ben Willis Hendricks, age 79, formerly of Eaker Drive, passed away on Tuesday April 16, 2019 at Autumn Care of Drexel. He was born April 25, 1939 in Gaston County to the late Hobson "Hob" Hendricks and Nell Queen Hendricks Black. Ben was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Ben was also a recipient of the Purple Heart and was honorably discharged in 1966. Ben was an avid collector of antiques.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Sellers Long Hendricks; and brother, Dale Hendricks.

Left to cherish his memory is his son John Hendricks of Cherryville, daughter, Kim Hendricks of Cherryville; sister-in-law, Nancy Hendricks; grandchildren, Jalen Knight, Ashely Hendricks, Tommy Hendricks, Josh Hendricks, and Jordan Hendricks; and 6 great-grandchildren.

A private service was held to honor the life of Mr. Hendricks.
