Barbara Wright

Barbara Jean Kiser Wright, age 76 of Cherryville, passed away Sunday, June 13, at Atrium Lincoln. She was born March 14, 1945, in Lincoln County, NC to the late Robert Kern Kiser and Jean Elmore Kiser. Barbara was a lifetime member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and proudly served the real estate community at Carpenter's Real Estate alongside her business partner, Dean Carpenter, for over 45 years. Her family and friends, who lovingly called her “Booboo,” were the center of her life. While she was an avid reader, puzzler, and traveler, she cherished activities involving her family above all else.

Preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Derek Levi Stamey, she is survived by her children: Johnna Stamey (Bill), Candie Wright (Tammi Rushing), Stacie Wright, Trenton Wright (Tawana); grandchildren: Whitney Walker (Tyler), Stephen Wright (Allie), Wesley Wright (Chloe), Carter Rushing and honorary grandson Mihajlo Crnograc; and siblings: Patricia Campbell (John), and Robert Kiser (Lynn) as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 3:00 PM at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Pastor Rick Sloop officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 PM prior to the service in the Church Community Center.  Due to immunocompromised members of the family, we will be requiring masks to be worn inside the building.  Thank you for being respectful of this request for the family.
