Zelma Bridges Hay, 84 of 104 Hay Drive, died April 11, 2009 at her residence.  Zelma was born in  Gaston County, July 10 1924  a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Grover Bridges, Sr.

 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her former husband, Joseph Carl Hay, Sr.  a daughter, Carlos Brady, Granddaughters, Pamela Flowers and Barbara Joann Hay, Great Grandson David Bridges and Great Granddaughter, Aimee Parker, Six brothers and Four sisters.

 

Survived by Daughters Brenda Hopper, Sandra Richard, Sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph and wife Karen Hay and Brad Hay, all of Bessemer City.  Sister Billie Tessenar of Belmont, Fifteen Grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren and eighteen Great-Great Grandchildren.

 

Memorial Service Monday, April 13, 2009 at 5:00 PM in Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenter’s Funeral Home, Cherryville.  The Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 4:45 at the funeral home prior to the service.
