William Arthur Wilson, 93 of 700 Self Street died October 27, 2010 at Peak Resources.  Mr. Wilson was born in Gaston County on May 31, 1917 a son of the late Lonnie and Alice Disbrow Wilson.  He retired from Nolen Concrete Company in Gastonia with 35 years of service and a member of Gainsville Baptist Church, Lincolnton.

 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Emaline Haynes Wilson, a son Darrell Wilson and a sister Mary Pearl Lockman.

 

Survivors include a son, Glenn Wilson and wife Carolyn of Cherryville and one daughter, Carolyn Russell and husband Jerry, of Crouse, five Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held at Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenter’s Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 29, 2010 with Rev. Darrell Bost officiating.  Burial will be in Eaker Family Cemetery, Crouse.  The family will receive friends 9:45 – 10:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
