William Bernard Phillips , 86 formerly of W. Second St. died January 30, 2010 at
Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory.

Born Andrews N.C. January 8, 1924 son of the late John and Della Love Phillips. He  was preceded in death by his wife
Marjorie Eloise Phillips .

Phillips retired as shop  foreman with Carolina Freight Corp. and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Past Master and Lectures of Masonic
Lodge 505 AF&AM.

Survivors include two  sons and daughter in law,  Bayne & Becky Phillips,
of Hickory, John Pitt & Chris Phillips of Crouse plus Six Grandchildren and spouses. Mark and Stacie Phillips of Utah, Lori Davis of Crouse, Crystal and Scott Essary of Hickory, Christopher and Stephanie Phillips of Lincolnton, Sgt. Andrew and Katie Phillips of Ft. Mitchell Ala., and Adam and Lindsay Phillips of Greenville, SC,
ten great grandchildren and a sister Mary Morrow of  Andrews.
 
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 3:00 PM  First United
Methodist Church with full Masonic Rites. with Rev. Rick  Fite officiating,

Burial in City Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 PM
at the church.
