Mrs. Wanda Louellen Shelton, age 76, of 205 Whitfield Street, died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Rex Hospital, Raleigh. Wanda was a native of Cherryville, born June 25, 1933. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, a member of Green Pines Baptist Church, Knightdale and employed for 30 years as an accountant with Raleigh Bonded Warehouse, Raleigh. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Neil Ray Shelton and mother, Corene Elizabeth Sneed.
Survivors: Daughters: Beth Little, and Lisa Thompson, both of Raleigh, N. C.
Four grandchildren: Dayle Byrd, Thomas Little, (twins) Morgan and Steven Little
Great Grandson: Kaleb Hinson Sister: Jackie S. Gantt of Cherryville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00PM, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the First Baptist Church, Cherryville, with Dr. Vince Hefner officiating, interment will follow in the Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
The family is at the home of Jackie Gantt, 7307 Dallas Cherryville Hwy., Cherryville and will receive friends at the church, Wednesday, prior to the service, from 1:00PM to 1:45PM.
