Janice Darlene McAbee Vatahanasombat, 52, of Mauney Mobil Home Park, died May 21, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Rutherford Co. on Dec. 11, 1952 a daughter of Myrtle Tate McAbee of Cherryville and the late Henry Wilburn McAbee. She attended Shady Grove Baptist Church and was formerly employed by Miami National Bank. In addition to her mother she is survived bya daughter Jennifer Vatahanasombat of Thailand, sisters Brenda McAbee of Dallas and Christine Sturgis of Gaffney and brothers Wilburn McAbee of Kings Mountain and Henry McAbee of Cherryville.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 3 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. Burial will be private.
