Thurman Richard Davis, 71, of Gastonia, died Thursday March 18, 2010 at Robin Johnson Hospice House.
He was born in Gaston Co. a son of late William Harbin and Minnie Groff. He was retired from Keller Real Estate and formerly employed by Camelot Apartments.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years Sybil Inez Carpenter Davis, two sons, Scott Davis and wife Michelle of Gastonia and Todd Davis of Bessemer City, daughter Kimberly Davis and husband Andy Bumgardner of Blacksburg, SC, four grandchildren Tara Charbonneau, Brian Davis , Amanda McWhirter and Jonathan Davis, four great grandchildren , Kara Ellis, Mallory Charbonneau, Logan Cape, and Alec Charbonneau.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 PM at Crowder’s Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Laws officiating with burial in Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday at Carpenter’s Funeral Home from 6-8.
