Thomas Robert Cunningham, 76, of 400 South Mulberry St., died July 15, 2011 at Kings Mountain Hospice. He was born in Flint, Michigan on August 21, 1934 a son of the late Clarence and Ella Jane Letts Cunningham. Mr. Cunningham was a member of First Baptist Church and retired from the Bank of America and a US Army Korean War Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Virginia “Ginny” Carter Cunningham, daughters Deana Jones and husband George of Raleigh and Stephanie Cunningham of Raleigh, step-sons Guerry Reardon and wife Lori of Maiden and Kevin Reardon and wife Sheila of Lincolnton, six grandchildren Crystal Minnish, Kathleen Reardon, Thomas Fox Jones, Carter A. Reardon, Caroline Reardon and Nicholas Cunningham.
A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 Sunday at First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Vince Hefner officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Sunday at fellowship hall of the church from 3-3:45 PM and at other times at the home.
