Thomas Andrew Adams, 72, of 3305 Tryon Courthouse Rd., died January 19, 2011 at Kings Mountain Hospital.
He was born on April 24, 1938 in Gaston Co. a son of the late George Lewin and Sadie Faye Redding Adams. He was a retired self employed Tool and Dye Maker, formerly employed by Garlock and Modern polymers. Attended living Word Ministries, and was a US Navy veteran.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Margie Sue Pruitt Adams, two brothers George and Van Adams, and a sister Verlene Pruitt.
Survivors include his son Roger Dale Adams and fiancee, Susan Neill of Cherryville, two daughters Tammy Adams Combest of Cherryville and Candy Adams Bradshaw and husband David of Cherryville, two granddaughters Hailey Sue Lynn Ford and Lily Mae Adams, brother Charles Adams of Cherryville, five sisters Lillie Reynolds of Crouse, Joann Peeler of Cherryville, Linda Webster of Monroe, Donna Heafner of Lincolnton, and Cecilia Thoman of Acworth, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home with Mr. Jay Little presiding with burial to follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home from 1:30-2:45 PM and at other times at the home.
