Ted Russell Brown, age 68 of 5201 Dellinger Circle, died October 29, 2011 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. Ted was born in Cowpens, Cherokee County on October 8, 1943 a son of the late Garland Odell Brown and Desmer Wright Brown. He was a retired dock worker for Carolina Freight Carriers after 25 years of service.
Survivors include his wife Dottie Reynolds Brown of the home, a daughter Tammy Clemmons and Greg of Cherryville, three brothers, Charles Brown and wife Diane of Cherryville, Randy Brown and Vickie of Southmont, NC, Mickey Brown and Linda of Vale, four sisters, Mary Sue Shultz of Vacaville, CA, Lucy Hartman and Steve of Waco, Vickie Randall of Cherryville, Rita Wilson and Ken of Cherryville, three grandchildren Joshua Jarrett, Chris Leonell and Meredith Clemmons.
Graveside services will be held Monday, October 31, 2011 at 2:30 PM in City Memorial Cemetery, Cherryville, with Rev. Wayne Key officiating. Burial will follow the service in the City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home.
