Roy Lee Daggerhart, age 70, of 1341 Tot Dellinger Road, died Tuesday, November 17th , 2009 at home.
He was born in Cleveland County, N. C., January 8th, 1939, the son of the late Robert Paul and Lorene Pearl Blanton Daggerhart. Roy was a retired foreman for Beam’s Construction Company, a board of director member of Hebron Colony, Boone, N.C., a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving as a congregational cook, famous for Roy’s Barbeque, formerly assistant football coach of Cherryville High School and Coach of Pop Warner Football, a member of Cherryville Bass Masters Club, and a US Army Veteran.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jill Wise Daggerhart, a brother, Jerry Daggerhart and a niece Terry Brown.

Son: Lee and wife Tracy Daggerhart of Huntersville
Daughter : Cindy Daggerhart and husband Jeff Clemmer, of Dallas
Sister: Betty D. Brown, and Sister-in-law: Deanna S. Daggerhart, both of Cherryville
Seven Grandchildren: Jack Lewis, Cameron Lewis, Madelyn Daggerhart, Emily Daggerhart, John Henry Clemmer, William Clemmer and Caroline Clemmer. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM Thursday November 19, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Billy Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in the Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery, with Cherryville Post 100 presentation of the American Flag.
The family is at home and will receive friends from 6:30PM to 8:30 PM Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Carpenter’s Funeral Home, Cherryville.
