Ronald Gene Haynie, 71, of 2810 Sunset Dr., died April 10, 2011 at Carolina Medical Center Northeast in Concord. He was born in Ranlo on October 30, 1939 a son of the late Ralph and Annie Bell Jones Haynie, Ronald was a retired textile worker.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Jennie Haynie Davenport, and a brother James “Butch” Haynie.
Survivors include his brother Allen Haynie and wife Barbara of Stanley, three step daughters Billie Jo Pearson and husband Marvin Dale of Ranlo, Terrie Smith and husband Robert of Kannapolis, and Vickie Lyles and husband Jackie of Gastonia, thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two nephews and one niece.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. Inurnment will be Monday at 3 PM at Evergreen A Quite Place. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-2:45 PM at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Billie Pearson, 2810 Sunset Dr., Ranlo.
