ROGER HOVIS, AGE 80, of 1026 Upper Spencer Mountain Road, Stanley, died, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Robin Johnson House, Dallas. Roger was born January 18, 1930 in Gaston County, the son of the late William Crown and Lula Palmer Hovis.
He was retired from WBTV as an engineer and was a member of Christ’s Lutheran Church, Stanley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Holder Hovis on May 11, 2010.

Taylor Hovis, of Dallas, N. C.
Graveside services will be held Saturday June 5, 2010 at Antioch Garden of Peace, Dallas, NC at 11 AM with Rev. Jack McHenry and Rev. Linda McHenry officiating.
