Ricky Lee Buchanan, Sr., 53, of 5796 Flay Rd., died May 12, 2009 at Carolina Medical Center, Lincolnton.
He was born in Charlotte, NC on May 20, 1955 a son of the late Lewis and Bessie Sellers Buchanan. Ricky was formerly employed by Trane and was a veteran of the US Navy.
He is survived by his wife Patsy Ann Cook Buchanan, a son Ricky Lee Buchanan, Jr. of Charlotte, a daughter Susan Bethea of Charlotte, two grandchildren Emily and Jacob Buchanan and a sister Jane Daniel of Charlotte.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 3 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin McIntosh officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Friday at the Funeral Home from 2-3 PM and at other times at the home.
