Reba Lee Heavner Haynes, 79, of 247 Gold St., died May 3, 2009 at her residence.

She was born in Cleveland Co. on November 12, 1929 a daughter of the late Charlie and Nancy Hester Heavner. Reba was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, a perfect homemaker, and a longtime member of Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years John H. Haynes, daughter Sylvia H. Reep and husband Randy of Conway, SC, two sons Johnny Haynes and wife Phyllis of Lawndale and Gary Haynes and wife Robin of Cherryville, eight grandchildren Krista Haynes, Richard Haynes, Mark Haynes, Andy Haynes, Hope Wilson, Rusty, Trent and Allison Haynes, eight great grandchildren, two sisters Mary Lou Wacaster, and Polly Houser and husband Bill, both of Cherryville, three brothers Ralph Heavner and wife Vergie, Bill Heavner and Eddie Heavner and wife Susan, all of Cherryville.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Noon at Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Holtsclaw and Rev. Wayne Key officiating with burial in City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday at Carpenter’s Funeral Home from 6:30-8:00 PM and at other times at the home.
