Pattie Lillian Lewis Palmer, 94 of Cherryville, formerly of Martinsville, Va. And Burlington, NC, died Dec 31, 2010 at Skylyn Place in Spartanburg, SC.
She was born on January 28, 1916 in Nash Co. a daughter of the late Rochar Lewis and the late Noma Creech Short. She was a homemaker and a volunteer with Hospice.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Evan Palmer in 1985, a brother Henry Lewis and a sister Mildred Johnson.
Survivors include her son Bill Palmer and wife Suzanne of Cherryville, two step children Pamela White and Robert Evan Palmer, Jr. both of Anderson, SC and two grandchildren Benjamin Evan Palmer of Gastonia and Hanna Tilghman Palmer of Charlotte.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 8 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home from 7-7:45 PM. Burial will be Tuesday at 1 PM in Reidlawn Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.
