Patsy Joyce Bowman age 71, of Delview Road, died September 12, 2009 at her residence. She was born November 14, 1937, a daughter of the late E.M. and Inez McCameron McAteer. Retired supervisor after 30 years of service at Blackwelder’s Textile, Cherryville.
Preceded in death in addition to her parents a sister Betty McAteer.
Survivors include her husband, Richard A. Bowman, of the home, four sons, Charles Webb and wife Cindy of Shelby, Rick Bowman and wife Melony, Eddie Bowman and wife Felicia, all of Cherryville, Mike Bowman and wife Lori, of Crouse and one daughter Sandra Dillingham and husband Larry of Salisbury. Grandchildren, Natalie Ramsy, Chase Webb, Melissa Church, Megan Benfield, Mariah Dillingham, Mark Bowman, Jonathan Bowman, Lauren Bowman, Jessica Spurling, Heather Webb and four great grandchildren. Two sisters, Doris Dockery and husband Charles, of Shelby, Jackie Melton of Charlotte.
Memorial Services will be at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at Anthony Grove Baptist Church, Crouse with Rev. Dennis Bean officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30PM to 6:45PM prior to the service.
