Oscar N. Glenn, “Jr.”, age 77,  died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Robin Johnson House, Dallas. He was born September 16, 1932, the son of the late Oscar Ernest and Zoe Kiser Glenn.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Cherryville and served as a deacon and taught Sunday school for over 50 years. He was retired from Nations Inc. of Gastonia where he served as a supervisor for 23 years.

  • Son, Rev. Jeff Glenn and wife Kim of Ansonville, NC
  • Daughter, Ms. Dale Glenn and Dan Metcalfe of Bessemer City
  • Brother, Ernest Glenn of Bessemer City
  • Sisters, Betty Rabb of Bessemer City and Nancy Crosby of Dallas
  • Grandchildren: Kristin Glenn, Traci Flowers Tedder and husband Jonathan, Carey
  • Glenn Marsh and husband Dustin, Meredith Glenn
  • Great granddaughter: Olivia Katherine Marsh

Celebration of Life  will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, May 4th, at Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenter’s Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Glenn officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be private.
