Nancy Doris Short, 61, of Tot Dellinger rd. , died February 22,2011 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. She was born on Dec. 1, 1949 in Gaston Co. , a daughter of Martha Mauney Short of Cherryville and the late Dwight Moody Short. Doris was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother Martha Short, she is survived by six brothers and sisters, Loretta Heavner and husband Norman of Lincolnton, Ronnie Short and wife Lynda of Crouse, John Short and wife Wanda of Crouse, Bob Short and wife Judy of Kings Mountain, Ken Short and wife Kathy of Crouse, and Rita Black and husband Doug of Cherryville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral series will be held Friday at 2 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Mull and Rev. Jack Caloway officiating with burial in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday at Carpenter’s Funeral Home from 6-8 PM and at other times at the home.
