Nancy Louise Black, 53, of 5117 Amity Lane, died April 17, 2011 at Carolina Medical Center-Lincoln.
 
She was born on Oct. 2, 1957 in Mecklenburg Co. a daughter of Frances Dellinger Dean of Shuffletown and the late Louie Major Dean. Nancy was a homemaker and member of Cook Memorial Presbyterian Church.
 
Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband of 28 years Darryl Lynn  Black, a daughter Sally Atkins and husband Clete of Iron Station, a son Andy Case and wife Jamie of Iron Station, grandchildren Kaylee Case and Daisy Mae Atkins, siblings Joe Dean, of Charlotte, Jimmy Pressley of Iron Station, Gene Pressley of Charlotte, Tony Dean, of Charlotte, Louie Major Dean, Jr. of Gastonia,   Debra Johnson of Shuffletown and Alice Dean, of Concord.
 
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Cook's Memorial Presbyterian Church, 3413 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd., Charlotte, NC 28216 with Rev. T. J. Thompson officiating. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends April 21, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home, Cherryville, NC  and at other times at the home.
