Margaret Bridges Shull, 87 of 404 West Academy Street, died Feb 23, 2009,  at Conover Nursing Center in Conover,  NC.

 

She was born on March 25, 1921 in Cleveland County, a daughter of the Late Dathia David Bridges and Jeannie Channey Bridges.  She was retired from Sweettree,  Knitronics  and  Cherry Oaks  of Cherryville.  Margaret was a member of the former Four Square Gospel Church for 50 years, member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Cherryville and a member of the Cherryville Senior Citizens.

 

In additions to her parents she was preceded in death by Four brothers, Dathia David Bridges, Jr.,  J.D. Bridges, Gene Bridges and Jack Bridges, Two sisters, Nellie Engle and Ginger Hoyle.

 

Survivors include five sons, John David Shull and wife Jean of Shelby, Richard Shull of Crouse, Larry Shull and wife Elizabeth of Spartanburg, Roger Shull and wife Vicki of Conover and Michael Shull and wife Kathy of Cherryville, Grandchildren, John Rick Shull of Cherryville, Constance McCall (Spring) Shull Benavides and husband David of Dallas TX, Daniel, Desiree, Gary, Mark  and Luke  Shull, of Shelby,  Two Great Grandchildren, Lauren Paige Crandell  and Joshua Benavides one Great Great Grandchild,  Riley Ross Sampson, one sister Fay Quick of Cherryville, and sister-in-laws Norma Bridges, Bennie Bridges, Brenda Bridges  and special sister-in-law and friend Tressie Bridges.

 

Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb 26. 2009 at 3:00 PM at the First Church of the Nazarene in Cherryville with Rev. Tom Hartis officiating.  Burian will follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Carpenter’s Funeral Home from 1:00 – 2:30 on Feb 26, 2009.

 

Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, 300 W. Second Street, Cherryville, NC  28021.
