Mamie Louise Stroup, 89, of 355 Sperling Rd., died March 24, 2010 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.

 She was born on June 15, 1920 in Cleveland  Co. a daughter of the late Evans and  Amanda Connor Ross. Mrs. Stroup was a member of Waco Baptist Church and retired from Leslie Fay, formerly employed by Cleveland County Schools at Waco and  was a health care provider.

 She also preceded in death by her husband Harvey Lee Stroup.

 Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Shirley and Paul Shull of Cherryville, sister Bessie Anderson and Cella Falls both of Kings Mountain and a number of nieces and nephws.

 Funeral services will be held Friday at 4 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating with burial in Capernaum Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 2-3:45 PM  and at other times at the home.

 Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland Co., 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150
