Mrs. Madge Eudora Haynes Houser, age 79,  of 2731 Clineland Road, died Monday, August 29, 2011 at Summit Place, King Mountain.  Madge was born in Lincoln County, on March 4, 1932, the daughter of the late Roland P. and Georgianne Hoyle Haynes.  A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she was a member of Waco Baptist Church, Waco and retired cafeteria worker at Cherryville High School.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Elena H. Black, and brothers, Carl Haynes, Roy Haynes and Raymond Haynes.

 

Survivors:  Husband of 60 years, Benjamin M. Houser, of the home, Son and daughter-in-law: David and Sheila Houser, of Cherryville.  Daughters and son-in-law:  Phyllis and Tim Miller of Bessemer City, Kathy Dotson of Cherryville. Brothers: Raleigh Haynes of Port Townsend,  Washington, Herman Haynes of Sherrills Ford,  Charles Haynes  and Hoyle Haynes, both of Bessemer City a sister, Ola Mae Kampmann of Clinton Mo. Five Grandchildren: Ronny  Hargrove, II, Leslie Crane, Brent Houser, Rachel Miller, & Dana Miller.  Great Grandchild, Judah Crane.

 

Funeral Services will be conducted  at 2:00 PM Thursday at Waco Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Harold Fite officiating,  the body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service and burial will follow in the family plot of Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  The  family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM   Wednesday at Carpenter’s Funeral  Home and at other times at the home.
