Lucy Mozelle Yount, 85, of Cascade St., died April 24, 2011 at Lake Norman Medical Center. She was born on Dec. 25, 1925 in Gaston Co., a daughter of the late John T. and Lucy Pearl Wells Costner. She was retired from the Carlton Mill of Cherryville, Templon Textiles and Draymore Fabric both of Mooresville. Mrs. Yount was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church of Terrell, NC.
She is preceded in death by her husband Buddy Fred Yount, and a sister Lelia Catherine Costner.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-laws Barbara Ann and John Lewis Yount of Terrell, and Jackie Jo and Darrell Carpenter of Sherrill’s Ford, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Rehobeth United Methodist Church Cemetery Thursday at 11 AM with Rev. Bob Kerr officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday at Carpenter’s Funeral Home from 6-8 PM and at other times at the home.
