Leah Cohen Silverstein, 82, of Dorman Rd., formerly of Gastonia and Boca Raton, Fla. died April 16, 2011 at Levine Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. She was born on January 4, 1929 in Roxboro, Mass., a daughter of the late Joseph and Sylvia Topal Cohen. She was a bookkeeper for her and her husband’s clothing business in Gastonia. She was a member of Temple Emmanuel.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Randy Silverstein, and a brother Phillip Corwin.
Survivors include her son Geoffrey Silverstein and wife Sherrie of Charlotte and a daughter Ilene Dellinger and husband Van, of Cherryville, three grandchildren Tom and Sam Dellinger and Taylor Silverstein.
Graveside services will be held Monday at Gaston Memorial Park at 1 pm with Rabbi Charlie Brown officiating. The family will receive friends after the services.
