Larry Steve Chapman, 63, of 2515 Amity Ave. died December 28, 2010 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. Larry was born March 23, 1947 in Cleveland County the son of the late Charles and Ruby Smith Chapman. He was employed by Uncle Bob’s Self Storage.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother John Chapman.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Collins Chapman of the home, a son, Larry Chapman and wife Amber of Cherryville and two daughters, Angela Bumgarner and husband Anthony, of Lincolnton, and Monica LeVesque, of the home, five grandchildren, two sisters, Faye Butler and husband Marshall of Cherryville, Kaye McKown, York, S.C.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 31, 2010 at Carpenter’s Funeral Home, Cherryville at 11:00 AM with Rev. David Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 30, at Carpenter’s Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
