Keith Gillespie Lohr, 87, of 311 South Elm St., died July 26, 2011 at Carolina Care Center.
Mr Lohr was born in Dallas, NC a son of the late George V. and Bessie Lee Shelton Lohr. Keith was employed at Houser Drug and a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where he was active on various committee’s and the Lutheran Men in Mission.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Jean Black Lohr on July 22, 2011, his twin sister Katherine Van Dusen, infant sister Annie Laura Lohr, and two brothers Dermont and George Lohr.
Survivors include his sons Gill Lohr and wife Freida of Lincolnton and Tommy Lohr and wife Susan of Raleigh, two grandsons Evan Lohr of Knoxville, TN and Matthew Lohr of Chapel Hill, two step grandchildren Tonya Westbrook and husband Charles of Lincolnton and Toby Schronce of Lincolnton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Dr. Robert Allen officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday in the Ladies Parlor of the church from 2:00-2:45 PM.
