Katherine Whitesides Tate Huffstetler, 94, of Lincoln Nursing Center formerly of Carlton Dr. Cherryville died May 11, 2010 at her residence.

 She was born in Gaston Co. on Feb. 16, 1916 a daughter of the late James W. and Minnie Kinley Whitesides. She was retired from the Carlton Mill with 43 years of service and was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church.

 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Frank Tate and Hillard Huffstetler, two sons  Dean  and Buddy Tate and a grandsons Keith Tate and Michael Tate

 Survivors include two sons Jerry Tate of Lincolnton and Troy Tate of Cherryville, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

 Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 PM at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Fain Farmer officiating with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday at Carpenter’s Funeral Home from 11 AM-12:30  PM.
