James Henry Mears, 64, of 534 Maxey Lane, Cherryville, formerly of 2509 Hwy..
150, died Monday February 9, 2010 at his daughter Ann Brown’s residence.
 
He was born in Buncombe Co. on May 5, 1945. James was retired mechanic from
Rhodes and Corrier Tractor Supply on Lincolnton.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Caron Hendrick.
 
Survivors include his wife Beulah Jackson Mears, daughter Nancy Mears,
Asheville, Ann Brown and husband Todd of Cherryville, and Haroldean Sain, of
Lincolnton , sons Mike Sain and wife Donna, Lincolnton, Randy Sain and wife
Phyllis of Cherryville, David Sain of Belton, Tex., and Richard Jackson and wife
Deanna of Cherryville, eighteen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
 
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 3 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home
with Rev. Bob and Joann Alexander officiating. Burial will be private. The
family will receive friends Thursday from 2-3 PM at the funeral home and at
other times at the home of Ann and Todd Brown.
