Jack Bradley Clayton, 48 of 1006 Ranbar Street died January 10, 2012 at his residence.  Bard was born in Gaston County, January 19, 1963 a son the late Jack Durell and Lorene Elliott Clayton.  He was employed  as a local driver by Central Transport, Star Freight and Consolidated Freightways and a member of First Baptist Church.
 
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Jordy Clayton.
 
Survivors include his wife  of 30 years,Tina Rhyne Clayton of the home, a son Derrick Clayton of Waynesboro, NC, a brother Stan Clayton and wife Emma of Cherryville, mother in law Sally Ann Rhyne of Gastonia, brother in law Johnny Rhyne, sister in laws Debbie Peninger and Louise Thomas.
 
Funeral service will be held at Carpenter’s Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, January 13, 2012 at 4:00 PM with Dr. Vince Hefner officiating.  Burial will be at a later date.  The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at 261 Mountain Meadows, Bessemer City, NC.
 
Memorial may be made to First Baptist Church, 301 E. First Street, Cherryville, NC 28021 or Westside Community Church, P.O. Box 1785 Gastonia, NC 28053.
