Helen Prue Beam Warlick age 89, of 1419 Gaston Street, died May 18, 2011 at Lincoln Nursing Center. Helen was born on January 9, 1922 in Lincoln County, a daughter of the late Clarence Austin Beam and Minnie Blanche Bess Beam, she was a homemaker and a member of Bess Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Francis “Shorty” Warlick, two sons Reginald Clarence Warlick, Edgar Lee Warlick, three brothers Earl Beam, Alton Beam, Coy Ray Beam, four sisters, Jane Dobbins, Sue Greene, Muriel Foster and Dora Alice Ledwell.
Survivors include two brother Wayne Beam, of Cherryville, Michael Beam of South Carolina, one sister, Katherine Leatherman, of Vale.
Graveside Services will be held at Bess Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Roy Byers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 in the Church Fellowship Hall.
