Harold Glenn Dellinger age 74, of Cherryville, died June 10, 2011 at his residence. Glenn was born in Cleveland County, February 5, 1937 a son of the late William Clarence and Lavada Shuford Dellinger. He was retired from Carolina Freight in the Billing and Accounting Dept. Glenn was a Spec 4 in the US Army where he participated in the Berlin Air Lift.
In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by a sister Bertha D. Kewley and three brothers C. Roy Dellinger, E. Paul Dellinger and Hervey S. Dellinger.
Survivors include a nieces and nephews, Julia Ann Neal Austin and husband Allen, of Charlotte, Rodney H. Dellinger of Charlotte, Brenda Clark and husband Charles of Perrysburg, NY, Robert Kewley and wife Julie of Gowanda, NY Donna Kerr and husband Rick of South Dayton, NY, an aunt Valeria Shuford Hallman, Lawndale.
Funeral Services will be held at Carpenter’s Funeral Home, Monday, June 13, 2011 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Ken Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from Noon – 12:45 PM.
