Glenn David Willis, 88, of 7520 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, died April 3, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.  

Glenn was born in Gaston Co. on March 9, 1922 a son of the late Clarence Moten and Ethel Detter Willis. Mr. Willis was a WW II veteran of the US Army Air Corp, retired from the Carlton Yarn Mill and longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cherryville. He was an avid gardener and took great pride in his garden and yard.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Johnson and a brother Jack Willis.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Carrie Lee Hallman Willis, son and daughter-in-law Rick and Joy Phaup Willis of Apex.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 PM at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Bill Lowe officiating with burial in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:30- 2:45 PM  at the church  and at other times at the home.
