Gladys Whitworth Ledbetter age 88 of 207 Bell St. died December 21, 2011 at Brian Center Lincolnton. Gladys was born June 26, 1923 in Gaston County a daughter of the late Ida Mae Whitworth.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Ledbetter, two sons, Jack Ledbetter and Bobby Lee Ledbetter, a brother, Eugene Whitworth and three sisters, Dolly Mae Hedgepeth , Annabelle Hester and Mary Withers.
Survivors include her daughter, Maxine Warlick, of Conway, SC, four grandchildren, Bobbi Lee Wiliams, of Cherryville, Jacki Lee Cole of Ar., Robert Warlick of Conway, SC, Debbie Davis, of Loris, SC, six great-grandchildren, one sister, Marge Hedgepath.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenter’s Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner, officiating. Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 12:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
