Geraldine Kaye Yeary Ward, 62, of 201 S. Dixie St., died April 29, 2009 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House.
She was born in Richlands, VA on March 26, 1947 a daughter of the late James Thomas ands Tracy Forest Cox Yeary. She was a former member of the Cherryville Church of God, attended Living Word Ministries and was a retired waitress. The family would like to “Thank” Hospice and Pallative Care of Gaston Co. for all the loving care given to Geraldine.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers William and James Yeary and a sister Audrey Beavers.
Survivors include her daughter Cheryl E. Black of Lincolnton, granddaughter Celine Kay Black of Lincolnton, two sisters Brenda Yeary and Nancy Clark of Richmond, several nieces and nephews, her cat “Precious” and numerous friends from her lifetime.
Funeral services will be held at Carpenter‘s Funeral Home at 2 PM Saturday with burial to follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30-1:45 PM at the funeral home.
