Mrs. Evelyn L. Workman, of 1425 E. Marion St., Shelby, formerly of Cherryville died Friday, April 17, 2009. Evelyn was born December 4, 1922 in Davidson County, the daughter of the late Walter and Sadie Ada Everhart Lookabill. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Cherryville. Evelyn was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

Memorial may be made to First United Methodist Church, 601 North Pink Street, Cherryville, N. C. 28021 and Hospice and Palliative Care of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 20, 2009 at First United Methodist Church, Cherryville, Interment will be in the City Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the Funeral Service from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM
at the church.
