Evelyn Caroline Brackett Kelly, 94, of Cherryville died Monday Dec. 27, 2010. She was born on June 23, 1916 in Clover SC a daughter of the late B.B. and Bannah Comer Brackett.
Mrs. Kelly was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church and active in the Women of The Church when her health permitted.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Fred J. Kelly, daughters Billie Kelly Rudisill and Susan Kelly McKinney, and sisters Melle Blackwelder, Barnette Miller, Billie Stroupe, and Margaret Heavner.
Survivors include her daughters Freida Kelly Stewart and husband John of Asheville, and Dawn Kelly Walker and husband Gene of Lincolnton, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Private family graveside services were held Tuesday at 2 PM at City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating.
