Erelene Marcella Mauney Sellers, 74 of 1254 Shelby Hwy. died April 27, 2011 at her residence. Erelene was born in Lincoln County, December 10 1936 a daughter of the late Jake Sidney Mauney and Edith Mae Carpenter Mauney.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Yates Franklin Mauney, Sr.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Harold Gene Sellers, of the home, a son Harold Duane Sellers of Cherryville, a grandson Tyler Sellers and Ashley McGowan, of Cherryville, great grandson, Randy Carson Eli Sellers, of a sister Betty Mauney Crane and husband John Frank, of Charlotte, sister-in-law Jenny Heavner and husband Claude.
A special thanks to sister-in-law Jenny Heavner and her husband Claude for all their love and care for Erelene.
Funeral services will be held April 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenter’s Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Holtsclaw officiating. Burial will follow the service in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Lincolnton, NC. The family will receive friends Friday, April 29, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home.
