Mrs. Ellen Susan Ramsey, age 84 of 230 Aderholdt Road, died Monday, April 19, 2010 at Brian Center, Lincolnton. Ellen was born August 17, 1925 in Gaston County, the daughter of the late Henry Young and Annie Hilderbrand Young. She was a long time member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, retired after 40 years of employment at Tryon High School’s cafeteria.
Survivors: Husband of 69 years, Grady C. Ramsey of the home
Sons and daughters-in-law: Larry and Shirley Ramsey of Marion,N.C.
Jim and Ann Ramsey of Lincolnton, N. C. Daughter: Sue Ellen Ramsey of Bessemer City, N. C.
Grandchildren: Leslie Ramsey Kazee and husband Curtis, of Marion, Jennifer Ramsey Shaver and husband Dan of Berthoud, Colorado, Lara Ramsey Freeman and husband Wes, of Chicago, Ill. Emily Ramsey Sippel and husband Kirk, of Chicago, Ill. Great Grandchildren: Aikman Kazee and Landry Kazee, of Marion.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00PM Wednesday , April 21, 2010 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, with Pastor Marty Ramey officiating interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30PM to 2:45PM prior to the service in the church, Wednesday, April 21, 2010. At other times they will be at home.
