Elizabeth Ann Norment Melton, 63 of 809 West First St., died Oct. 11, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 22, 1946 in Mecklenburg Co a daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret Broadway Norment. Mrs. Melton was a pharmacy technician at Stanley lab.
She is survived by her husband Robert James Melton, SR., daughter Kimberly Bell and husband J.K., Jr. of Bessemer City. Step daughter Shelia Lanier of Dallas, two sons Scott Rabon of Lowell and Mark Rabon of Rock Hill,SC Step Son: Robert Melton, Jr. of Dallas, nine grandchildren one great grandchild and a sister Linda Nesbit, Jacksonville, Fla.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating with burial in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
