Earline Fite Matheson, age 77 of 109 Misty Lane, died May 25, 2011 at her residence. Earline was born in Cleveland County, November 7, 1933 a daughter of the Late Earl and Elizabeth “Boots” Bridges Fite. She was retired from Harris Welco and a member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Earl Eugene Matheson, two great grandchildren, Addison Carpenter and Caroline Waddell, a brother Don Fite.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Matheson and wife Debra of Kings Mountain, Marvin Matheson and wife Ailene, of Kings Mountain, one daughter Rhonda Hager and husband Wayne, six grandchildren, Cindy Carpenter, Robie Matheson, Tina Sellers, Paige Berry, Chris Waddell, Rick Hager, eleven great grandchildren, Caleb Sellers, Lane Carpenter, Stephanie Carpenter, Amber Sellers, Taylor Berry, Tiffany Waddell, Christine Waddell, Kara Hager, Tyler Bridges, Jeremy Bridges, three brothers Eddie Fite of Kings Mountain, David Fite of Kings Mountain and Charles Fite of Kings Mountain.
Funeral Services will be held at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 3:00 PM with the Rev. Greg Neely officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:30 – 2:45 at the church prior to the service. The family will be at the home of Harold and Debra Matheson, 103 Raven Drive, Kings Mountain.
