Dorothy Sue Carpenter Clark, of Hephzibah Church Rd. died Dec. 29, 2010 in Gastonia. She was born on Sept. 1, 1930 in Kings Mountain, a daughter of the late Walter and Fannie Richardson Carpenter. “Dot” was co owner of Modern TV and Appliance and retired co-minister of the First Assembly of God of Shelby but continued to minister with her husband in retirement. Rev. Clark was ordained in the early 80’s and was co-valedictorian of the Dallas High School class of 1949.
A special “thanks” is extended to the staff at Abingdon Place of Gastonia and Hospice of Gaston Co.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 59 ˝ years Max S. Clark, Sr., son and daughter in law Max S. Clark, Jr. and Rita Absher Clark of Kings Mountain, one grandson Wesley D. Clark and wife  Melissa Hudson Clark of Simpsonville, SC.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 PM at Hephzibah ARP Church with Rev. Terry Schultz officiating with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday at the church from 6-8 PM.
