Danny Wayne Brooks, 47, of Miles Rd., formerly of Maple St., Cherryville, died February 2, 2011 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
He was born on April 14, 1963 in Kings Mountain a son of the late Robert Boyd and Willie Katherine Patterson Brooks. He was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and formerly employed by Kentucky Fried Chicken, Kings Mountain.
Survivors include his sister Vickie Stamey and husband Rick, of Cherryville, two nephews Derek and Brent Stamey, and several Aunt’s, Uncle’s, and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at Buffalo Baptist Church Saturday at 3 PM with Rev. Macky Turner and Rev. Ernie Blanton officiating with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from 2-3 PM and at other times at the home of Vickie and Rick Stamey 2144 Deal Rd., Cherryville, NC.
