Clyde Roseman Farmer, 89, of 363 Anthony Grove Rd., died October 30, 2010 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
 
He was born on Sept. 26, 1921 in Lincoln Co. a son of the late Charles and Carrie Leonhardt Farmer. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WW II and was retired produce manager at Lincolnton and Cherryville Harris Teeter stores.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Newton Farmer and was the last of his brothers and sisters.
 
Survivors include his daughter Cathi Putnam and husband Jim of Crouse, and granddaughter Macie Rose Putnam of Crouse.
 
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at City Memorial Cemetery at 2 PM with Rev. Darrell Bost officiating. The family will receive friends Monday at the home from 4-8 PM.
